COVID-19 Vaccine FAQ

COVID-19 Vaccine Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Have the doctors and staff at Grace Health Centre received the COVID-19 vaccine?

A: Yes! All our doctors and patient-facing staff have received the COVID-19 vaccine. We have taken these steps to protect our patients, our loved ones, and ourselves. Every doctor at our clinic recommends that you take the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as you are eligible. The benefits far outweigh the risks for all the vaccines approved in Canada.

Q: Where can I book my COVID vaccine?

A: Please refer to this link to learn more about booking your COVID vaccine. Select your eligibility group, enter your postal code, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Q: I'm 75+ looking to get a vaccine, where can I go to get a vaccine?

A: First, please check the following link. If you live in the Humber River Hospital catchment area, you can book an appointment here. If you live in Toronto, but reside outside of the Humber River Hospital catchment area, you can click here to see vaccination clinics that are open for you. Alternatively, if you live in the York region, you can click here to see vaccination clinics that are open in your area.

Q: I'm 60 - 74 looking to get a vaccine, where can I go to get a vaccine?

A: First, please check the following linkYou can contact your nearest participating Shoppers or Rexall Pharmacy to schedule an appointment. Appointments for the COVID vaccine in the North York area can also be made at the Lefko Pharmacy by clicking here.

Q: Why were only 60+ age groups being vaccinated?

A: Public Health Ontario has set priority groupings to receive the vaccine, based on risk and the most susceptible populations. Those who are 60+ years old fall in this priority group. All individuals ages 60+ are eligible for the AstraZeneca vaccine, and those ages 75+ are eligible for the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines as well.

Q: Can I get the COVID vaccine at your clinic?

A: While we are ready to receive the vaccine, the government has not supplied us with it. The moment we receive supply, we will be able to vaccinate you.

Q: When is Grace Health Centre getting vaccines?

A: We have contacted Public Health and the government, but we have not been given any information about when we will receive our COVID-19 vaccine supply. We are hoping to receive a first batch in April. We will keep this page updated with new information as we receive it.

Q: I'm looking for some support during COVID-19, where can I find some?

A: Please see this file we have for some resources: COVID-19 Support Resources
